BROOK LAKE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE UNTIL 28.10.23
About
‘Brook’ is just under 1 acre in size. It is one of three match lake’s on the complex, boasting 17 pegs. It is our a lake consisting of Carp, F1’s, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Gudgeon and Perch.
Brook was completely re-dug during the winter of 2019. After not enough maintenance in the earlier years, silt built up to astonishing levels resulting in a very shallow lake, resulting in poor conditions for the fish.
Spring 2020 and Brook was completed. All of the silt removed, four islands down the centre to give the lake some features, a new aeration system and some great depths of 5-6ft on average!
Recommended baits are pellets, maggots, casters or worm fished with/over ground bait.

Graham Brooks (verified owner) –
I have been coming up to LHF a few times in recent weeks with my grandson who has autism. We have fished Brook and have both been catching a quite few fish each time we have been, which is good for both of us! I believe fishing has certainly helped him and he now becoming enthused with the sport – which is really good to see. We might try another lake sometime- but one step at a time.
Lavender Hall Fishery –
We love to hear that Graham, see you again soon!

Nice fishery, well kept and plenty of fish. Even the kids/ female’s around the pool were catching fish.
I think the concession for Children at £1.00 difference to an adults ticket is a bit harsh on the pocket.
The smell of weed coming from the top pool is overwhelming. Kids asking parents what is that smell is a bit off putting.
Lavender Hall Fishery –
We can only apologise regarding the smell of weed, if we knew then we could of dealt with it. In future let a member of staff know and we can sort it. We hope to see you again soon.

Best lake on the complex, followed by Ben’s. Plenty of silvers and F1s, nonstop action on the float and nice F1 carp on the method. 5/5 would recommend!
